July 14, Out of Steamboat

We stayed in the Walmart parking lot in Steamboat! Yes, they had some really nice RV parks... all full. This is going to be a continuing theme, I am afraid! But, Walmart works, and it is free. The only issue that we have from staying on the side of the road or a parking lot, is where to dump the tanks. Sometimes it is hard to find a place, and if we are on our own, we only have about a day and a half of tank capacity. A couple showers, and its full! Not to mention, filling the fresh water tanks.... a couple of showers, and it is almost gone.... There is no way I am skipping my shower!

We saw quite a bit more of Steamboat Springs on our way out of town. They really like their statuary here!

 

 

 

What else are you going to do with old skis?

This was on the road just outside of town.... of course, it wasn't true! We were now headed for Rabbit Ear Pass!

As we headed up the pass, we found of course, more stunning scenery. And the little flower of the day! There are always flowers here, though!

Sadly, there is no Mailbox of the Day. We got the good ones in town yesterday, and there aren't many folks living up on the pass!
